Travel Tip Tuesday #2

#2 Some rides are more fun at night and have shorter lines then too!

Some of the rides at the Walt Disney World Resort and at Disneyland Resort are actually more fun when you ride them at night! Our opinion, as well as lots of other Disney Nerds agree that Big Thunder Mountain, Seven Dwarf’s Mine Train, Splash Mountain and the People Mover are tons of fun both during the day and at night.

One of my favorite memories of riding Big Thunder Mountain, one of my favorite rides, is when I rode this ride right at the start of the fireworks show in Magic Kingdom. In the dark it’s hard to see the twists and turns of the track and makes riding even more adventurous! At night the Seven Dwarf’s Mine Train can give you a beautiful view of Fantasyland at nighttime. And one of my favorite rides at night is the people mover. You get to see the park lit up at night and see the park from a whole new perspective.

Riding these attractions at night can also give you a chance to skip some of the really long lines. One of my favorite tips is to ride during the fireworks show (as long as you don’t mind missing it or have see it already). Seriously though don’t miss Happily Ever After, it is one of the best fireworks shows Disney has ever done. But if you have already seen it or don’t mind watching it another night, head for these attractions. There are less people still riding rides at this time because they are watching the show. Also if Magic Kingdom has extra magic hours that night you can keep riding even after the fireworks!
